With effect from May 7 2020, AFS started handling British Airways’ passenger and ramp requirements at Jomo Kenyatta airport, Nairobi.

British Airways serves Nairobi from London Heathrow, operating B777 and B747 aircraft; Africa Flight Services currently provides passenger, ramp and cargo handling services to a portfolio of carriers.

Michaela Walker (acting CEO) commented: “We are extremely proud and honoured to have won such a prestigious customer as British Airways. We are confident our handling expertise, new GSE and quality of service will enable us to offer British Airways an excellent service. We have invested US$39.5m in new equipment and a state-of-the-art, fresh produce and airline warehouse because we recognised a need for high quality services at Jomo Kenyatta International airport."
