Ground handling companies Aviation Handling Services (AHS) and AeroGround Berlin have agreed on a long term strategic co-operation at Berlin airports, with the aim of strengthening their market position.

Independent German ground handling services provider AHS operates both at Tegel airport and Schoenefeld in Berlin. AeroGround Berlin also holds the licenses for ground handling services at both airports, including the new Berlin-Brandenburg airport. AHS provides passenger and operations services while AeroGround provides landside and airside aircraft and baggage handling.

Managing Director of AHS Berlin, Tays Breckerbohm, said: "Our main focus is on cost optimisation and joint sales activities. In addition, together with AeroGround we can now cover the entire range of ground handling services.”

Christian Stoschek, Managing Director of AeroGround Berlin, added: "We are very pleased about the future steps with a successful and professional partner like AHS at our side. The synergy effects will strengthen our two companies in Berlin."
