Fenix Logistix Ireland has acquired RED Handling UK from Norwegian Airlines AS, and will continue providing passenger services, ramp handling and de-icing services at London's Gatwick Airport.

RED Handling was established in 2016 as a dedicated ground handling company for Norwegian Airlines' largest hub outside of Scandinavia and has quickly grown as the preferred partners to some of Europe's best airlines.

A Fenix Ireland Logistix spokesman said: "Fenix Aviation is pleased to add RED Handling to our family. The company became a wholly owned subsidiary to the Fenix Logistix Ireland on 1 January, 2022. The culture of outstanding safety and service record that RED Handling UK has built over the years is a reflection of the hard working individuals and partners at the London Gatwick operation. The core values and competencies established by RED Handling UK are perfectly aligned with the Fenix Group."

Parent company Fenix Logistix established FLie during the pandemic with the aim of developing business opportunities in Ireland, the UK and throughout Europe.
