Discover how aviation operators in the Americas are rising to the challenge of delivering COVID vaccines at GHI’s Digital Reconnect Americas on March 30-31.

A special panel entitled "Precious cargo – ensuring the integrity of COVID vaccine doses during air transport" will feature frontline accounts from Miami International airport, Flexport and Bombelli. Speakers will discuss the role of stakeholder collaboration, data sharing, staff training and cold chain storage in effective vaccine shipment. The panel will also address industry data showing one in four vaccines is destroyed before reaching patients because of damage incurred during shipping.

GHI’s Digital Reconnect is a two-day virtual event that will bring together stakeholders across the Americas to discuss steps towards a successful restart. The conference programme also includes:

• Automation/Digitisation: Safeguarding our stations through smarter tech: The coronavirus pandemic has presented the greatest opportunity in a lifetime to reimagine ground handling business processes from pushback to passenger boarding. So, what are the most compelling automation/IT developments out there?

• Market analysis: Better, the same or worse still to come? The 2021 outlook for aviation in the Americas: a look ahead to volumes and market trends in 2021 and beyond

• North America market focus: Restarting, reskilling and rising again after the coronavirus pandemic: GHI invites a panel of leading operators from North America to share their coronavirus comeback stories

• Latin America market focus: Collaboration v COVID: With little direct government support on offer and demand only expected to hit 50% of typical levels this year at best, Latin America’s aviation operators face another year of monumental challenges. How does the supply chain collaborate?
