Menzies appoints Robert Fordree to oversee cargo growth

Robert Fordree has joined Menzies Aviation as Vice President - Cargo Development, to oversee the development of the company’s cargo handling business.

Fordree has been in the aviation industry for 27 years, beginning his career with Lufthansa Cargo before his first ten-year stint with Menzies, occupying various commercial positions. In 2008, he joined Etihad to oversee its operations in Europe and the US, before moving to Abu Dhabi in 2011 and to oversee Etihad Cargo’s operational expansion.

Fordree said of his recent appointment: “I am delighted to start what I believe to be a really exciting new challenge with Menzies Aviation. There are some great opportunities to ensure we deliver operational excellence across the network and help grow and develop cargo operations.”

Jamie Ross, Senior Vice President – Sales & Commercial at Menzies also commented. “Robert is very highly regarded in the cargo sector, and I’m very pleased that we’ve been able to add someone of his expertise to our senior commercial team. He will be a central figure in our drive to grow the Menzies Aviation Cargo business.”
