The methanol fuel cell developer and manufacturer, Blue World Technologies, is starting a limited production, which is the first step in commercialising its novel fuel cell technology.

Just two years ago Blue World Technologies was founded, and in the intervening period the company has concentrated on optimising the production processes, working towards the goal of commercialising methanol fuel cell technology through large-scale production.

In common with many other start-ups, Blue World Technologies has met challenges along the way and in September 2019, just a year after the company’s establishment, the construction of production facilities for Blue World Technologies was paused because of construction difficulties just a few weeks before building was planned to begin. That resulted in Plan B, which saw Blue World Technologies quickly adapt and continue the path of developing new production methods and optimising processes.

Now the company is starting a limited methanol fuel cell production as the first step in commercialising this technology.
