Swissport has finalised the acquisition of AGS Aviation Ground Services, expanding its services in the Dutch Caribbean.

Based at Queen Beatrix International Airport in Oranjestad, AGS was incorporated in 1991 and Swissport has extended its services to include ground and security services.

Consolidating AGS adds a dozen international carriers to Swissport’s network of airline customers and expands services in Oranjestad where it has a cargo warehouse.

Rene Pascua, Swissport’s Head and Managing Director for Latin America and the Caribbean says: “Following significant regional growth in the previous year, Swissport looks forward to strengthening its footprint in the Caribbean with the acquisition of Aviation Ground Services. The expansion in Aruba uniquely positions Swissport as the ground services provider of choice for all of the Dutch islands in the Leeward Antilles: Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao.”

In 2021, Swissport purchased Bonaire Air Services and took over ground handling operation at Flamingo International Airport on the Dutch Caribbean island of Bonaire.
