The digitally enhanced station explored at GHI’s Leaders Academy

Discover advice on how you best deploy technology within a ground handling operation to maximise employee productivity and boost stakeholder collaboration at the 2nd GHI Leaders Academy in Istanbul, 5-6 February.

Digital enablers and their role in improving communication between ground crews, pilots and other airport stakeholders will be explored in a presentation from Steve Tarbuck, Owner & Founder at Global Travel Matters.

The presentation will also explore how leadership teams utilise autonomous GSE, live tracking data and automated check-in capabilities to optimise boarding and turnaround processes.

Tarbuck’s has previously held management positions with low cost carriers including Go Fly, Ryanair and Sterling Airlines, as well as full service carriers Qatar Airways and Brussels Airlines. He also spent several years working for Copenhagen airport, which gave him an alternative operational perspective of facilities.

The presentation comes on Day One of the 2nd Leaders Academy, which also features seminars on building high performance teams, employee engagement and tackling ground handling skills shortages.

Delegates can also enjoy a tour of Celebi’s operations at the new Istanbul Airport on Day Two of the Conference, which includes a visit to the handler’s smart cargo warehouse facility.
