Aviator signed a partnership agreement with Ryanair for ground handling services.

Under the partnership, Aviator will provide Ryanair with full passenger- and ramp-handling services, including de-icing, at Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The five-year agreement was signed in July for services to be provided starting October 2021. Aviator at Stockholm Arlanda perform emission free turnarounds and is in the process of becoming totally electric in all its operations.

Additionally, Aviator and Ryanair have extended ground handling services partnership at Helsinki Airport for four more years for ground handling and de-icing services. From October, Aviator will support 29 weekly Ryanair departures from Helsinki. These two agreements continue strengthening Aviator’s partnership with the low-cost carrier and adds to the relatively new agreement, signed in March 2020, for ground handling and de-icing services in Copenhagen Airport for a five-year period.

Jo Alex Tanem, CEO of Aviator Airport Alliance, said: "We are delighted to see this already strong partnership between Aviator and Ryanair developing further. Providing services for such a grand client like Ryanair is an incredible opportunity to prove our expertise and service quality. These new contracts will help to even further strengthen our cooperation.”

Tom Kelly, Deputy Director Ground Operations at Ryanair, said: “Despite the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, Ryanair recently announced the opening of a new base in Stockholm Arlanda, as well as further growth in Helsinki, which will drive our expansion in Northern Europe while other airlines retrench. We are pleased to sign this long-term agreement with Aviator whose fully electric turnarounds ensure we maintain our position as Europe’s Greenest Airline.”
