This year’s awards feature a new Innovation award and Aviation Team awards to acknowledge the importance of pioneering service improvements and stakeholder collaboration in our sector.
There are five categories in total with an entry deadline of 15 September. Winners will be announced at a free-to-attend online awards ceremony on 1 November with the class of 2023 receiving their trophies at a special service at GHI’s 24th Annual Conference in Lisbon this November.
GHI’s Pride of Ground Handling Awards aim to champion operators large and small across the world and from all areas of the supply chain who exemplify a commitment to quality, safety, teamwork and innovation.
Launched in 2018, the awards showcase aviation teams that go the extra mile to deliver added value services to passengers and hit back against the myth that ground handling is simply a race to the bottom on price.
Winners will be announced at a free-to-attend online awards ceremony on 1 November with the class of 2023 receiving their trophies at a special service at GHI’s 24th Annual Conference in Lisbon on 28 November.
Max Gosney, GHI Conference Chairman, said: “At a time when our sector is fighting hard to bring in sufficient volumes of staff to help operations service resurgent air travel demand then it’s vital we shine a light on the inspiring activities taking place on aprons around the world.
“This is a truly global celebration of ground handling excellence so wherever your based, whatever your business size then tell us how your employees have been stepping up to deliver innovation, service excellence and saving lives.”
